IEEE President-Elect Candidates Q&A on IEEE.tv
A video of the IEEE President-Elect candidates roundtable question and answer session which was held 27 July is available for viewing at IEEE.tv. During the session, candidates J. Roberto Boisson de Marca, Moshe Kam and Joseph V. Lillie answered questions submitted by IEEE members.

A video of the IEEE President-Elect candidates debate also can be viewed.

Vote for Computer Society Officers and Board of Governors Positions in 2010

Vote for IEEE Computer Society candidates for president-elect, first vice president, second vice president and Board of Governors. Election of officers to one-year terms and Board of Governors to three-year terms, each beginning 1 January 2010.

Ballots must be returned by 12:00 noon EDT on Monday, 5 October.  Vote now

Results will be announced in the December issue of Computer.

Professional Software Engineering Exam to be Created

IEEE-USA and the IEEE Computer Society will be working together to develop an examination required by state licensure boards for prospective use in licensing software engineering professionals. The National Council of Examiners of Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) approved the development of a Principles and Practice of Engineering examination (PE exam) for software engineering in August. The PE exam should take between 24 and 30 months to develop.

Registration Open for International Test Conference
International Test Conference, the highlight of the annual Test Week activities and the leading forum for electronics test technology, promises to engage and stimulate attendees from the test and design community with its technical program and exhibits when the doors open at the 40th annual ITC. Test Week 2009 runs from 1-6 November at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, USA.
