Students Test Their Wits in Electronic Fox Hunt
Its creators call it the Fox Hunt, only there's no chasing of a small mammal, no pursuit on horseback and no pack of baying hounds. Rather, officers of the IEEE student branch at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, in Massachusetts, USA, hide a radio transmitter somewhere on campus. Learn about the hunt

Rethinking Engineering
From China to Africa to Europe to the Americas, fewer students are going into engineering. What's at stake if the number of qualified engineers fails to grow? The world may face an absence of innovation in critical areas like health care, alternative energy, communications and environmental systems. Renters’ Insurance – It's Not Just for Your Stuff
Renters often consider property insurance in terms of coverage for their possessions. However, as a renter you can be held liable for damages to your building if you or someone else in your rental unit accidentally causes a fire, or if water overflows from your unit and causes damage to your apartment or other units. Home insurance provides home owners and renters with protection for their personal property as well as with liability coverage. Learn more

Show IEEE How You Engineer Your World
IEEE invites you to celebrate our 125th Anniversary by participating in the video competition. The contest asks people from across the globe to submit short videos demonstrating their use of science, engineering and technology to make their living spaces more livable, fun, convenient or futuristic. Have you rigged your alarm clock to make you a pot of coffee in the morning? Or fashioned a virtual whiteboard in your car for convenient problem-solving on the go? Similar to IEEE's 125 years of innovations, there are no boundaries to Engineering Your World, just possibilities. Visit the IEEE 125th Web site to see examples and submit your own video
