-----------------------
I&M Society Undergraduate Student Representative - Katelyn Brinker

Katelyn Brinker is an undergraduate student studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of Science and Technology and an undergraduate research assistant at the Applied Microwave Nondestructive Testing Laboratory. Following graduation, she plans to pursue her Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and then pursue a career in developing spacecraft technology and nondestructive testing techniques. Besides being involved with I&M, Katelyn is also involved with her school's IEEE Student Branch, Eta Kappa Nu Chapter, and Mars Rover Design Team.

I&M Society Graduate Student Representative - Andrea Angioni

Andrea Angioni is research assistant and PhD at the Institute for Automation of Complex Power System (ACS) of the Eon Energy Research Center (EonERC) of RWTH University of Aachen Germany. He graduated in 2013 in the master program of electrical engineering at the University of Cagliari, Italy. He worked from 2013 to 2016 at the European fp7 project named IDE4L on automation architectures for distribution network. The IDE4L project was evaluated by the European commission with "Excellent Progress." Currently he is working at the H2020 Fast Track Innovation ADMS project, which develops a cloud and PMU based monitoring system for distribution grids. I&M Society is dedicated to providing worldwide, high quality conferences, symposia and workshops for all I&M colleagues throughout the year by disseminating and exchanging information concerning the science and application of instrumentation and measurement. To achieve this, I&M Society is now looking forward to sponsoring conferences/symposia/workshops which are aligned with emerging instrumentation and measurement technologies.

The Society has prepared very detailed Conferences Management Guidelines. We ask that colleagues who would like to organize technical events with the Society please take a careful look at these Guidelines. The VP of Conferences, Chi Hung Hwang, would be glad to answer any questions or further discuss any suggestions for implementation.

To ensure the success of sponsored technical events, as indicated in the Conferences Management Guidelines, we suggest that:
  • All the conference organizers send requests for technical sponsorship to VP for Conference one year prior to the proposed conference.
  • For the request of financial sponsorship, the conference organizer is strongly recommended to contact the VP for Conferences, no later than 12 months before the event (earlier would be better)
  • If the event is new to the I&M financial sponsorship process, contact must be made no less than 12 months before the event since the budget must be approved by the I&M AdCom.
I&M Society takes pride in the quality of all sponsored Conferences, and our members and colleagues in instrumentation and measurement deserve to have high quality technical events with different technical aspects. Please contact us immediately if you are currently organizing or planning to organize high quality technical events associated with instrumentation and measurement technical aspects.

Sincerely,
Chi Hung Hwang
VP of Conferences I&M Society
-----------------------

We hold numerous workshops throughout the year. Please refer to the I&M Conference website for a full listing.

For more information on any of the conferences, please contact Chi Hung Hwang, VP of Conferences for the I&M Society.
