Deadline to apply is 1 July 2019, please visit 2019wjs.org or scout.org

The IEEE Emeritbadges Project will be sponsoring Robotic Hand Education workshops daily at the 2019 World Scouts Jamboree. The event will be attended by 45,000 scouts and scouters from over 165 countries. Day volunteers needed- volunteers are responsible for their own expenses.

The event will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve located at 2550 Jack Furst Drive Glen Jean, West Virginia. For more information contact Walter Hyde at wehyde@ieee.org.

Quick history refresher: IEEE has been invited to exhibit at each NATIONAL Jamboree since 1981- this event is held every four years.

Several years ago, a "Dream Team" of Scouts from Canada, USA, and Mexico presented a proposal for only the second WORLD Jamboree to be held in the US - this summer.

IEEE is one of a limited number of organizations to exhibit at this event.

With 45,000 Scouts and Scouters from 165 countries, this is an excellent opportunity to communicate the value and merit of IAS and other IEEE Societies.
